DigiTool Final

The Life of Steve Tasks
Steve Tasks was one of the greatest users of Web 2.0 tools the world has ever seen. We may never see another person on this planet type in a username to their web browser of choice (Google Chrome!!!) and start uploading digital media to a wiki, blog, or website the way Tasks did. And although he did all of this with the power and speed of fiber optics, he was able to avoid any copyright violations and maintained a clean digital footprint. We can all learn many lessons from Steve Tasks, but perhaps the most important one is be safe, the internet is a dangerous place if you are not careful!

Script for Student Summit
The entire process of the flat classroom project was a great experience for me, especially because I was a student leader. This was a new a brand new experience for my classmates and I, and I think we all benefited greatly.

The entire project revolved around communication and information, something we do quite well in the 21st century. We were provided with the ning and a forum for discussing what should happen on the wiki. As far as gathering information goes, we read excerpts from "The World is Flat" and were also free to find content on the web. I used Google Keep to store all the notes I had and transferred them into the wiki

Being a student leader was possibly the best and most challenging part of this whole process. I was in charge of an entire group of student, but when we had meetings to discuss our progress, I was proud to share what we had done.
Flat classroom Keynote Video
This post is a response to questions asks after we watched a video about technology and how the world is changing. The questions being asked are how do we use technology to communicate, how are these tools used in the flat classroom project, how are these tools helping us prepare for the future, and how can these tools help us with the flat classroom project.

The first question is fairly straight forward because quite simply, we use technology to communicate in every way. We use text messages to chat with friends, face time to video chat, phone call to talk with people, and twitter, Facebook, and Google+ the spread the world with a bunch of people. We use technology to communicate in more ways than you could ever imagine. During the flat classroom project, we use the ning to connect and communicate with our other teammates.

The future of technology has unlimited penitential because innovations continue to awe us. I think we sill continue to see even more ways communicate and see the news coming in a better and creative way. The careers being created by these new technologies are fantastic and long-lasting and will continue to develop in the future. During the flat classroom project, we were able to communicate with our other group members in multiple ways, whether it was the ning or the forum. Both of these tools were giving us the ability to continuously communicate with everybody we need to.

Welcome!

Welcome to my brand new blog, The DigiNet Blog! I created this blog for a class at my high school called Digi-Tools.

This posts is about digital citizenship and how to be safe online.

Personally I like to think that I'm am very careful online, but I know that sometimes there are faults. Hopefully everybody is aware about what is happening to themselves online, and hopefully everybody knows how to be safe.

Down below there is a video that tells some very astonishing facts about people online, I hope it inspires you to take extra steps in protecting yourself from cybercrime.
